Iran Tea

The special climate of north part of Iran which has good moisture and is mountainous can provide a great product as Iran Tea. In the Gilan province in north of Iran large areas are under cultivation of this product and millions of people work in the Iran Tea industry. Iran Tea is one of the cleanest in the world because the mountainous climate allows plant to be free of pest which is the reason for not using pesticide.

Persian Tea

Tea found its way to Persia from India through the Silk Road and soon became Persia national drink. Iranians drink Persian Tea every morning with their breakfast, after lunch and dinner or following an afternoon nap. Also in all meetings and family gatherings Persian Tea is served.

Iranian Tea

Iranian tea specific characteristic is its reddish brown color and its bitter taste, which drinkers can choose to dilute it with water depending on their preference. Also because of its bitterness, several choose to drink Iranian tea with sugar. Traditionally Iranians take a sugar cube in their mouth and sip the tea to permit it to soften.

How to make Iran Tea

Ingredients for 4 Persons

  • 2 Tablespoons Iran Tea
  • water

Instructions

  • Fill the kettle with fresh water and bring it to a boil.
  • Add Iran Tea to teapot.
  • Fill the teapot with boiling water from the kettle.
  • Place the pot on the kettle. Allow it to brew for at least 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Pour Iran Tea into cups. Drink it with sugar, sugar cube, Nabat or any other sweets you like.
